the !buy menu shows it should only be available for 2 minutes. When you but it, however, it tells you it will be there for around 5 (it lists time left when pm'd with !help).

5 minutes is way too long, when needed flag time is only 3 minutes, and 2 minutes may be too long as well. Once the timer on it is corrected we may wish to look into either reducing it or having multiple buy options (with different prices and alive times) possibly based on player population. When population is high, the baseterr should last longer, as the high number of players makes flagroom battles swing heavily, and the flag quickly switches often during that time. For low population, it's really just needed when nobody is around to terr, or to get a foothold in flagroom, so having it around too long gives the buying team too much advantage and should have a lower time.

tl:dr fix timer to actually be 2 minutes, then look into making the time/cost based on player population.

Did some asking around. It turns out that at the moment the 5 minutes is actually the correct time, and that the time displayed in the !buy menu is incorrect. To fix the incorrect menu, a senior dev will have to alter the configuration file for this bot.
